program curriculum

ABISA’s commitment to education and socio-cultural inclusion of all people, with a focus on those of African descent, has led to the development of Springboard to Excellence. The program focuses on personal and career development, Healthy Relationships, Positive Self-Image, Leadership skills, Community Service, and Sisterhood. Founded by Jainabou Danfa, “For My sister” is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing global sisterhood by empowering and enabling young women with the tools and networks to succeed worldwide through education, mentorship, and service with the guiding motto “I am her, and she is me.”

using our tree model, Springboard to excellence emphasizes the importance of knowing your “roots,” acknowledging your own “tree” and individual potential, and understanding that you must “ bear fruit” and pour back into the lives of those coming after you. these areas or “ stages of the tree” will coalesce to form a unified picture nurturing transformational young women leaders. In collaboration with the “For My Sister “curriculum, the participants will explore these areas over a two years program broken into four quarters.
